It is very similar to the end result seen in the movie, down to the paintings on the walls. This picture is a design of the interior of the tower where Rapunzel lives. I thought that it was a clever way to show what the movie would be about, and was a good opportunity to show the proportion of Rapunzel and her hair. This image caught my eye due to the way it’s presented. There are also visible lights from within the castle, and these are made of warm colours to contrast with the cold sky.
Not only has Rapunzel’s hair been placed to lead the eye to it, it also has a glowing cloud surrounding it, making it a beacon of light in the darkness of night. While the castle itself is quite dull in colour and small, the way it’s presented allows it to be noticed. The other viewpoint that needs to be noticed is the castle. Her hair is bright yellow and catches the viewer’s attention instantly. Even the tower she holds onto has been drawn to avoid attention, putting more focus on Rapunzel.
Her dress is a shade of green, but brighter and more eye-catching than the green below her. The colours are mostly faded out and part of the background, made up of shades of black, grey and green, except Rapunzel and the castle she’s watching. The image above shows the main character (Rapunzel) of the movie in a situation very similar to the one in the actual film.
